Coaching for adults, university students, and teens navigating ADHD, executive function challenges, and the mental load of expat life. We bring a clinical lens that goes beyond productivity tips.

Whether you're an adult juggling expat life, a university student hitting a wall, or a teenager who's smart but struggling: the gap isn't intelligence. It's missing tools.
You're capable and driven, but ADHD or EF difficulties mean the mental load of expat life keeps overwhelming you. You know what you should do. The gap is the doing.
You made it to university. Then the structure disappeared. No one is reminding you anymore, and the workload requires a level of self-management nobody taught you.
Your teenager is bright. Their teachers say so too. But something keeps getting in the way. It's not laziness or attitude. They're missing the executive function tools that school doesn't actually teach.
For expat adults navigating ADHD, overwhelm, and the unique pressures of life abroad. We build real systems for focus, organisation, and follow-through, tailored to how your brain actually works, with a clinical lens that goes beyond tips and hacks.
University removes the scaffolding that held everything together in high school. For students who are capable but struggling without structure, we build personalised systems for managing coursework, deadlines, and independent academic life.
For teenagers who are bright but stuck, and the parents trying to help without it turning into a battle. We build the executive function skills school doesn't teach, and give parents concrete tools to support without doing it for them.
Every engagement starts with a free consultation. From there, choose the level of support that fits your situation.

I spent years watching the same pattern play out in two very different settings. As a clinical social worker in the US, I worked with adults who had brilliant insights but couldn't keep a medication schedule. Not because they lacked intelligence, but because no one had ever taught them how to organise their lives.
Then I moved into international education, starting in Madrid and then Shenzhen. I saw the same thing wearing a different uniform. Students who could debate climate change but lost every planner we gave them. Teenagers written off as lazy who were actually missing the executive function tools school never directly teaches.
It took me 15 years across both fields to name what I was seeing. The gap wasn't motivation. It wasn't character. It was executive function. And it was fixable.
I founded EF TakeOff Coaching to bridge what I kept watching fall through the cracks. I bring a clinical lens to every session, which means we work with the whole picture: anxiety, ADHD, environment, and real life. Not just a to-do list.
I'm an American living in Shenzhen. I understand expat life from the inside. That matters in this work.
Work with me →International and bilingual schools in mainland China are seeing familiar patterns: students who are bright but constantly "behind," increasing anxiety and perfectionism, teachers spending more time managing behaviour than teaching.
Research suggests up to 1 in 3 students show notable EF challenges that impact learning, even without a formal diagnosis. I help your staff translate brain science into doable classroom strategies.
